How We Source
High-Risk Areas
Most of us are familiar with the garbage patches that occupy the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Ocean gyres. But what may not be common knowledge is that human activities near the coast are responsible for most of the plastic that leaks into the ocean. Therefore, we source plastic bottles collected within 5OK of waterways or coastal areas, in developing countries or regions, so your brand can play an even bigger role in solving the ocean pollution problem: REPREVE Our Ocean uses ocean-bound plastics certified by an independent third party organization.

Ocean pollution is at dangerous levels. At least 8.8 million tons of plastic are dumped into oceans and waterways every year. At current rates, oceans worldwide will contain one ton of plastic for every three tons of fish by 2025. And by 2050, it is estimated that there will be more plastic than fish.
